Specification Comparison and Reviews

We are comparing Fenix 2.0. and Arizer Air 2, because besides the difference in design we think they have some similar features that are worth to mention and it may be easier for you to decide on what to buy.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION OF ARIZER AIR 2 AND FENIX 2.0.

Fenix 2.0. and Arizer Air 2 is one of the more popular portable vaporizers. Fenix 2.0. is from Weecke a well-known company on the market, and Air 2 is from the Canadian company Arizer. Both of the devices are very well-made, fit nicely in the hand and have a display that shows the temperature and battery level. Also, have 3 buttons one on/off button and two buttons for adjusting the temperature.

Both of these companies have been making vaporizers for a while now, and they know what they are doing. Fenix may be more known in the European region and the Air 2 more in the USA and Canada.

WEIGHT AND SIZE

Because of the difference in the design, these vaporizers the weight and size of them will vary a lot. Fenix 2.0. size is 6,0 x 3,0 x 11,0 cm in a rectangles design. With a zirconium mouthpiece, it can fold inwards when you are not using it. The Arizer Air 2 is more of a »pen« design with 12.4 x 3.9 cm, with a glass/plastic mouthpiece.

TEMPERATURE RANGE

Both the devices range up to 220 °C, but the lowest the Fenix 2.0. will go is 160 °C and the Air 2 is 50 °C. And also the Fenix 2.0. will heat up much faster than the Air 2. Fenix 2.0. takes less than 30 seconds to heat up while the Air 2 needs about 60 – 90 seconds.

CHAMBER CAPACITY

The difference in the chamber capacity isn’t much, the Fenix packs 0.3 g while the Air 2 pack 0.2 g. It is worth to mention also that the Fenix has a chamber and additional steel pods that offer you to vaporizer herbs, wax, and oils. While the Arizer Air 2 only vaporizes dry herbs.

HEATING

Fenix 2.0. has an advantage here, because it has the 4th generation of air heating technology, convection. That means that only hot air comes in contact with the herbs, wax, oil and this eliminates the chance for the herbs to burn and give out a bad taste. And also it means that the herbs get heated up evenly throughout the whole chamber, not only on the sides of the chamber. This also means that you do not need to stir the herbs as often as you would otherwise.

The Arizer Air 2 has a hybrid type of heating, which means that the heating chamber works on the conduction type but the herbs do not get in contact directly with the heating chamber, because the herbs are placed in the glass chamber that is placed a bit above the heating chamber. This also eliminates some factors of the herb getting burned and it does heat up a bit more evenly.

ARIZER AIR 2 AND FENIX 2.0. – VAPOR

Both of them provide exceptional vapor. Arizer Air has an all-glass vapor pathway so that makes it very clean and flavourful. While Fenix 2.0. has an isolated air pathway that means that there is only fresh air mixing with the herbs and making it also very clean and flavourful. Both of them cool down the vapor to a pleasant temperature.

MATERIALS

Both of the vaporizers are very well-made, with quality materials and also parts in them. Fenix 2.0. has a metal casing that looks nice and sleek. The heating chamber is made out of titanium, which makes it very durable, but also if you want to replace it you can, because it does have a replaceable heating chamber. And the mouthpiece is made out of zirconium. While the Arizer Air 2 also has a metal casing, it does have a ceramic heating chamber that is not replaceable and has a glass mouthpiece, which is easily cleaned and taken care of.

BATTERY

Both of these devices pack a nice battery. But while the Fenix 2.0. has a 4400 mAh battery it is not replaceable and it is not a pass-through device, so you can not use it while it’s charging. The battery lasts for about 75 minutes and charges up in about 150 minutes. In the meantime, the Arizer Air has a 3000 mAh battery that lasts about 60 minutes and charges up in 90 minutes. But the battery is also replaceable, which means you can always have a spare full battery with you and just exchange it and it also has the pass-through function.

CONCLUSION OF ARIZER AIR 2 AND FENIX 2.0.

We compared the Arizer Air 2 and Fenix 2.0. because they are in the same price range and have similarities. They may not look alike, but they do get compared a lot. So maybe you are searching for a more discreet portable vaporizer, then go for the Arizer Air 2, it does have that pen vaporizer look and it’s easily fitted in your pocket, with a replaceable battery that lasts quite long and a glass pathway for awesome vapor. The Fenix 2.0. may not be as discreet as the Air 2, but it has a better battery that lasts a long time and it also gives us a clean flavourful vapor, thanks to the air heating convection system that not a lot of portable vaporizers have. It also vaporizes herbs, wax, and oils.
